The verdict is in... You guys want a tutorial for the refrigerator box Kathryn and I made.
We say...
Ask and you shall receive!
Then also make 4 more cuts as see on the above diagram in pink.
You can see those cuts above. Next you will want to fold along the dotted green lines.
Use a boning tool (I don't have one so I used the rounded end of my sissors:)) to rub along the green dotted lines to make folding easier.
Now it can bend easily.
This is the trickiest part... peel off the 1st two layers (if you are looking at the side with the measurments written on it) so that you are left only with the one layer as seen above.
These are the two layers you just peeled off... STOP peeling at the dotted line!
Now cut that off at the dotted line.
Now do that for all 4 corners.
I just use a glue stick to cover the corners. Start with 2 that are across from each other.
Fold the side up and press the flaps firmly onto the the main section.
Now repeat for the other side.
Now just Mod Podge your favorite scrap book paper over it, add some magnets to the back and you have yourself a super cute and personalized fridge box to store your delicious recipes you are going to use for the week!!

If you are not up to making your own fridge box (totally understandable),
I also found some here that might work.

could you do a tutorial on your spread sheet for the 30 meals or explain it a little better.
ReplyDeleteMelissa,
ReplyDeleteI have been secretly flowing this blog and I suddenly realized that I think I might know you. This is Megan O'Neil. Are you from Pasadena?.. I love all of your ideas.
Hey there! I am new to your site (and quite enjoy it btw). A couple days ago I saw your recipe exchange. I loved it and today I came to jot a few down and can't find your "mr. linky" Was that only a temporary thing? I'd love to still see them, if possible.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Lindsey, it's still there on the May 1st post at the very bottom of the post. Let me know if you are still not seeing it.
ReplyDelete:)Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing the tutorial. I told my family about this idea and whenever I make a great meal everyone shouts "It's a 30 day meal"! THANK YOU! Our newest fav is Rachael Ray's Cheeseburger Chili mac and cheese.

LOVE IT! This will help me be much more organized. I'm putting this idea on my blog. THANKS so much.
ReplyDeleteI am an mess when it comes to planning and preparing meals. Mostly because I despise the whole ordeal of deciding what to eat, when to eat it, and then going to the grocery store. So, I have started your plan. I have only about 15 meals so far but I have to say when I went shopping this week I had a glimmer of hope. I made the box tonight and now i am pumped!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
ReplyDeletePS I made your penne bake earlier this week with italian sausage instead of chicken (it's what I had available). It was delicious!!!! It is now part of my 30!
ReplyDeleteThat's cute! I want to make one too. But then I am into art. I'd probably ask my dear wife to make one for our little angel. That'll help her organize little things.
