Busy

working on my master bathroom. These are my 10 year old towels. We got them as a wedding gift.

I don't love purple, sky blue, and forest green... they are SO 90s!

I'm painting the master bath to coordinate with the master bedroom.

I'll be done soon (I hope) and I'll show you how it turned out! :)

  1. So funny that you still have your "wedding" towels! We have ours too....although I've moved them to the guest room. They are 9 years old ;) I'm thinking of retiring them soon though.....

  2. we still have our wedding towels too! They are almost 16 yrs old now..
We got some that are burgundy and every-time i wash them they bleed on something.. I don't know why I still keep them... sentimental i guess.
Can't wait to see the bathroom..
    happy painting!

  3. that's funny because I'm in the middle of re-doing our bathroom as well and we had our 10th anniversary in June. My towels are just yellow (no 90's stripes), but they need to retire soon!

  5. It's funny that you say that about your towels because we still have ours and I'm redoing our master bath. They don't match the new look but I don't know if I want to go out and buy all new towels because the towels work fine. Oh decisions, decisions.

  6. I can't wait to see what you've done. The towels look very familiar. I finally put mine in the "rags" pile. They were hunter green and maroon. Ick!

  7. I love the colors you are going to use. They look really close to what I used in our master bath! Our wedding towels came with our names and a rose embroidered on them so needless to say they have never left the linen closet.

  8. Funny that I stumbleupon'd this blog, because this was the first post I saw and I was absolutely shocked. I had just finished drying my hair with that towel! We got the towel when I moved into my grandfather's house after he passed away. And while, yes, the colors are terrible, I'm definitely keeping mine for the sentimental value.

  9. Wow, I laughed when I saw your towel. We got the exact same towels for a wedding gift 10 years ago, too!
