(which I already had... who doesn't have one of these?!)
And simply cover it in scrapbook paper: Kami cut her letters apart but I wanted to keep it all connected so I just traced the letters, cut them out, inked the edges, and glued them with mod podge. So easy and what a difference!
I want to make this is time for Caitlin's birthday on St. Patrick's Day! It is so cute. How do you ink the edges? Do I need to buy an ink pad or something? Can you tell I'm out of the crafter loop? (I used to do a lot of crafts; really)
Lesley my friend, how are you?? Yes, all you do is use an ink pad that matches the colors of your banner. You can get ink specifically for scrapbooking at Roberts etc. Super easy. Tell Caitlin Happy Birthday for me!
Hi Kathryn-I made my birthday banner and posted a picture of it on my blog today. I enjoyed making it!! Thanks for all the great ideas you post on "Nannygoat". Congrats on the sell of your home, and good luck in finding your new home. I know it will be perfect!!
I love this banner and I bought one just like it and am ready to start to recover it. The only problem is how to you cover the paper over the little brads that connect all the pieces together? Did you take them apart and then put them back together?
