I am so glad you all liked my little Spool Dolls! I think they are so fun TOO!!
These are slightly different than the original ones I showed you. I used candle cups on these ones instead of the spools and painted the bodies with a design. For the previous shown dolls I painted the body and then Mod Podged paper on them.
Either way... Fun, Cute and Easy!

As for the request to see all of the dolls, here they are!
There was 1 more head in the pkg than there was bodies, so I started a little African American doll but never finished it. That is the one you can see part of the head on a picture above. I used the end of the brush and did messy dots all over for the hair and it was looking really cute, I will have to finish it eventually.

I did paint those eyes with a toothpick. I used the wrong end of a brush for some of the other eyes and the right end for still different eyes:) The toothpick, with a sharp point is a great little tool!

What kind of paint do you use? I love these SO much and want to make some for my daughter for Christmas. I just want to make sure I do it right. Also, what store is best for buying these? HobbyLobby? Roberts? Michaels?

I got my materials -- I'll let you know how these turn out. BTW - I bought the bottoms at JoAnns and the heads at Michaels. My Michaels doesn't carry that sized bottom.... Soooo excited! It's like homemade (rather than Fisher Price) Little People!

OH my gosh. These are SO CUTE and SO FRUGAL. My favorite combo. Are you an artist? A painter or children's book illustrator or something? Seriously. I can't believe the detail! I'll be coming back to your blog often!
I just used acrylic paint, ya know the kind for tole painting!?! It is in the little plastic containers with the flip top at Michaels or any other craft store.
And as you will see I posted a couple of pictures of all the dolls for you viewing and copying enjoyment:)
