Can't remember

My baby is 3 months old now.

I'm trying to get him on a better feeding/ sleeping schedule and since my brain is pretty much mush nowadays I thought I'd make a couple of these "nursing bracelets".

(this one makes me want some bubblicious gum)

There are three beads in between each number and they represent 15 min each like so...

Each bracelet has a charm to clip on in between the beads to tell you when you last fed the baby and you just put the bracelet on the right or left wrist (whichever side you last nursed on).
I hope it helps but if nothing else I like my new funky jewelry.

You must be doing a GREAT job, look at that happy baby. At times remembering this gets me through some really tough days.

Keep up the good work.

I have never heard of a nursing bracelet before! So cool. I nursed 4 little ones and now I'm done, but these would have been great to have!

These are very cool. I've never seen them either. I remember trying to remember when the last time was. Besides the fact that they would be nice just to wear.

I always wanted one of these but never bought or made one. Just too tired to do it I guess. I ended up just wearing a ponytail holder on my wrist and just switching it back and forth. Not nearly as cool but it did the trick. Now my baby is almost 11 mos so she just nurses whenever she wants to. Love those bracelets though!

What a great idea. I used to just move a safety pin back and forth from each bra strap.

I don't know if you have seen this or not but you are on the Lemon Annie blog! You'll have to add another tag on the right of your blog.

Brilliant!! My little one is 4 months (today!) and I am constantly forgetting when I fed her, and which side I started on.... This is perfect! I thought that once you had the baby, your brain was supposed to return?, mine is still missing in action...

Did you use memory wire for these? They are so cute, I can't wait to make one! Thanks!

What a clever idea! I'll have to tell my big sis about this one!

I too would love to know where you found the number beads and why kind of "thread" or whatever did you use to put them together. Thank you! Can't wait to make one.

After MUCH searching (phone calls and driving) I found number beads for anyone near the SLC, UT area. You have to purchase them individually for 15 cents each so they will be about $2.25+ tax which is way cheaper than having to order them online and pay for shipping. Anyway, they're at String Beads at 2223 South Highland Drive.

Trimble,
Sorry, I've been out of town. I bought my number beads at Hobby Lobby. They had a big bag of them for like $5.00.

Thanks Kathryn. I tried the Hobby Lobby closest to me and they didn't have any so I hope to get up to String Beads soon.

Nothing quite as nice as seeing a happy, breastfed baby! The bracelets are SO cute! Moms need cute accessories that are functional :)

I'm past the point of counting, but I think this will make it into a baby shower gift VERY soon!

Thanks, HB

I love this idea. Sure wish I would have had one of these when my girls were nursing. Hope to be able to make some for gifts for family in the future.

What a unique idea. I would never have thought of that one. Of course I have no need for them . That was many moons ago for me :0) LOL!! Great idea though!! Good for medicine on time schedule too.
Your baby is adorable!!
Have a great one.

I was wondering how those worked! I could totally make one of these. Thanks for explaining how it works.

Can you please explain how you made it. I am trying to make two, one for myself and one for my sister in law. I don't know what kind of sting/wire you used. Also, did you just string everything on one piece and then wrap around three times or did you do three different strands? More specifics would be great! Thanks!

You can google nursing bracelet DIY for materials list & instructions, it's one long piece of memory wire that loops around =)
