Dining Room

Hello there.

It's been awhile...
Most of you, like me, have moved on from this blog.

I have found my life is too busy to keep up nannygoat but not too busy to keep creating...
never too busy for that.
Since my last post we have moved to a new home and we have been busy trying to make it "ours".  It is getting closer and I have had several friends ask to see pictures (and I'd rather post them on here then on FB) so here is our dinning room.

This is what it looked like before we moved in:
The colors were very warm but also very dark with a dark olive on the side walls and a brown and olive faux painted ceiling.  It felt warm and cozy but also cave-like and definitly not my style.

I was looking for a bright and airy feeling in this space and it was the first room to get painted.

We added molding to the walls and around the windows and painted the walls in Sherwin Williams Waterscape.  We paneled the ceiling with 6in strips of wood.
The space feels twice as big now.  It's amazing what paint can do to change the whole feel of the room.

Here is a shot of the ceiling:

We aren't completely done with the molding and I'm still deciding if I'm going to put up pendant lights (they are not centered with the table so probably not) so there are some hole in the ceiling but you get the idea.

Kitchen remodel is almost done.  I have to grout the backsplash today.  I hate grouting!!!!
I'll post pictures soon.
