Spool Dolls

I saw similar style dolls at a friends house and thought Avery needed some.
Heck, why not personalize them a little and make Jeff and I and the grandparents.
Should have done the lips a little darker... First time.
Kinda silly, Kinda fun!
Avery seems to like them... banging them on everything in sight that is:)

I LOVE THEM MELISSA! The eyes are beautiful on yours, you have a very steady hand.
I want a tutorial! ;)
I knew immediately who was who... seriously, so good!

I LOVE them! TUTORIAL PLEASE!!! My granddaughter is almost 9 months and a "family" of spools would be adorable for me to keep at my house for her!

I'm making these for my neices for Christmas but I doubt I can make them look as good as yours. The eyes are BEAUTIFUL!!!

You do SUCH a good job Melissa. They are darling (thanks for making me so cute and skinny). I've already been to Michael's and Robert's for clay pots (for nativities) and I'm going to check out Hobby Lobby. I think I know who'll be painting the faces :-)

Very cute, Melis, and it's even cuter seeing Aves pound them on the table! Those are very clever little dolls!!!

Yours are so darling! I think making these would be a very fun craft with tweens. Do they take longer than could be made at a birthday party?

They are really cute. They remind me of Mii's on the Wii (your character if you're not a Wii player). It would be a great decoration or craft for a Wii birthday party!

Megan,
I think if you don't get to fancy with them they would be perfect for making at a b-day party. Good Luck!

Uh.. Tutorial please! I LOVE LOVE your blog! I already made a necklace using the stamping/washer technique for a friend who lost her granddaughter to cancer last year. Thanks a million!
